Broad focus of my research group is to explore bio-materials for applications in tissue engineering, drug delivery and diagnostics. My long-term goal is to improve precision in cancer diagnosis and treatment through enhanced relationship between bench-side research and bedside applications.

My current research interests include:

  • Development of in vitro tumor models for understanding disease pathophysiology and for preclinical testing of drugs/small molecules
  • Investigating the role of biophysical cues in breast cancer metastasis
  • Development of diagnostic tools for early detection of cancer
  • Fabrication of smart nanotherapeutics for cancer management
